The Present Will of Tim Petty: A Proclamation of Purpose, Profession of Beliefs, Morals Clause, Mission statement, Manifesto
Morals clause…I am not sure what it is to be moral, kinda relative I think based on who’s talking…
Clause is legal term and I mistrust that language,
Manifesto; nah, it’s no feast nor fest, not another word with ‘man’ in it.
My mission is our mission.
A will is what we leave behind and this is what I would leave:
I believe in practicing right speech, though I am still stumbling over the words
I believe in equality, though I still see division in the world
I believe in the innate goodness of people, though it is hard
I believe every little bit helps
My purpose is to seek truth, with love
My purpose is to show ever growing compassion
My purpose is to be a guardian knowing all life is precious
My purpose is to be a guardian knowing all life is precious
My purpose is to play the fool, freeing other from the confines of self-conscious over-evaluation
My purpose is to remind everyone they are artists even if they are not in practice
My purpose is to speak up for the voiceless
My purpose is to help revive a culture that sees the land as holy
My purpose is to physically cultivate a more fruitful and diverse world
My purpose is to rest apathy, doomsday prophesy and all other forms of ‘giving up’
My purpose is to challenge the dogma of the church and the corrupt laws of the government
My purpose is to use money to make money obsolete
My purpose is to focus on solutions based activism
My purpose is to propose a pose I see as perfect
My purpose is to stay humble always open to learn a new way
My purpose is to consistently maximize happiness and minimize luxury
My purpose is to learn appropriate fierceness
My purpose is to find balance and promote peace
My Will is to be the change
My Will is to be in the right relation to work
My Will is to be in clear communication with all
My Will is to be in right standing with all
My Will is to be a servant to all
“There will be a tribe of all people, of all nations, they will heal the water and clean the earth. They will live in peace and love. And the animals will not be afraid of them.” - Hopi prophesy

Pro Arts COMMONS Constitution
Pro Arts COMMONS is a global, peer-to-peer networked community, spearheading a movement towards a post-capitalist art economy. We disrupt the logic of capital through sustaining those commons-centric spaces, practices, and value production models that rewire the broken connections between artist, community, and everyday life.
We house exhibitions, symposiums, experimental music and film programs, literary events, reading groups, workshops, assemblies and community events, and short-term residencies. We are a local commons-centric network of autonomous organizations, collectives and individual artists and commoners. Our commonality lies in our desire to create a just, equitable, and decentralized art and culture economy.
As Pro Arts COMMONS Participants, Performing Pro Arts COMMONS, we improvise on the following basic principles:
Autonomy in operations within the commons, whilst collectively holding space, operational and organizational systems, including income and expense streams, which we also hold collectively and equitably.
All commoners participate in the governing and future direction, building collaboratively new platforms and programs that promote the format of the commons.
All commoners pull material and immaterial resources in creating an environment of abundance that promotes collaboration and equitable distribution.
Promote community care, participation, and transparency in financial, legal, and organizational structures, aligning with movements based in solidarity practices that empower the community above all as creators of art and culture.
Pro Arts COMMONS’ model of operation, governance, and contributory system is embedded in the practices and principles of the community commons, and the ethics of mutual-aid, collaboration, and solidarity.
We aim to decolonize the institution and empower the people above all.
We aim to create a system in which creation will be embedded in our everyday lives.
We aim to decommodify art and culture.
We aim to reclaim the urban commons.
We are also a global networked community that shares values, as well as material and immaterial resources in the co-creation of ideas and critical engagements with the world. Both on a local and global level, we are communizing the practice, production and presentation of art and culture.
